Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Wolverine

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Wolverine

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine

  • He has a Rage power and free powers that require him to be in a Rage, so he gets less Skill Points when he levels up.
  • One of the few characters who have a Healing Factor (Deadpool, Wolverine). This means in theory you can keep blocking and wait for your health to recover, since blocking makes you immune to just about everything.
  • You may want to test whether any power other than Fury is worth developing since very high-level rage has him attacking very quickly and you may do more damage that way, or keep the enemy unbalanced and unable to retaliate.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Claw Slash (16 Skill Points, 28 Energy)
    • Increased melee attack that causes bleed damage.
    • 139-154 Physical Damage, 41-45 Bleed damage
  • Eviscerate (14 Skill Points, 28 Energy)
    • Radial damage to nearby enemies with heavy thrust into a single second target.
    • 68-75 Physical Damage, radius
    • +17% Physical Damage to bleeding victims
  • Fury (16 skill Points, 116 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Boost damage, speed, and rage.
    • +10% Physical Damage, +30% Attack Speed, +68% Rage per hit
  • Lethal Lunge (16 Skill Points, 29 Energy)
    • Wolverine launches forward, knocking back enemies where he lands, and brutally slashes his target.
    • 143-157 Physical Damage, 51 foot knockback.
    • +100% Rage.
  • Rage Attacks (usable only when Raging)
    • Spin Attack (Rage, 28 Energy)
      • Spin forward, hitting multiple targets with claws.
      • 102-113 Physical Damage.
    • Taunt (Rage, 116 Energy, 80 seconds)
      • Forces enemies to attack Wolverine. Affected enemies do less damage and are forced to melee.
      • Huge potential for synergy with Nick Fury (Motion Sensor) and Thing (Die Hard).
      • -65% Damage from affected enemies.
    • Spin Attack (Rage, 15 Energy)
      • Spin forward, hitting multiple targets with claws.
      • 34-38 Physical Damage.
    • Certain Death (Rage, 38 Energy)
      • Impale the enemy on Wolverine's claws, lift them up, and throw them down.
      • 54-60 Physical Damage. 79% chance of instant kill.
    • Claw Frenzy (Rage, 17 Energy)
      • Multiple slashing attacks with each hit increasing attack speed for a time.
      • 44-49 Physical damage.
      • +14% speed per hit for 6 seconds.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Thor

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Thor

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: North Wind, Wrath of the Gods
  • The most expensive hero in terms of Skill Point requirements. Even at level 99, he can't max out all powers.
  • The only character with a 300-damage Xtreme power.
  • One of the few characters who have a 300-damage power (Mjolnir's Might).
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Asgard's Blessing (21 Skill Points, 128 Energy, 110 seconds)
    • Increases skill ranks for entire team temporarily.
    • +3 Points to skills.
    • Comments:
      • Affects outfit powers as well, if you have at least one rank in the power from the currently worn outfit.
      • Maximum rank is 10. In the early game you won't need it. By mid- to late- game, this is a useless power as you will likely have maximum ranks in the powers you use frequently.
  • God Speed (16 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Increase speed of all standard attacks.
    • +83% speed increase.
  • Hammer Toss (23 Skill Points, 34 Energy)
    • Throws hammer, stunning enemies.
    • 117-130 Physical Damage and stun, to all enemies the hammer passes through.
    • Comments:
      • The hammer will boomerang back after a distance or when it hits a wall. If there is a wall behind the target, you can be reasonably certain of getting in two hits on the same target.
      • The stun duration is not clear but at least a couple of seconds.
  • Mjolnir's Might (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Hammer attack. When fully charged, has a chance to instant-kill stunned enemies.
    • 136-150 Physical Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage, +1 Energy cost)
    • 8% instant-kills a stunned target.
    • Comments:
      • Thor will rush at the current target in a straight line, so you don't have to be in melee distance. However, if the target moves laterally, Thor will miss.
  • Mjolnir Slam (16 Skill Points, 30 Energy)
    • Massive hammer slam.
    • 54-60 Electricity Damage, 3 foot radius.
  • North Winds (16 Skill Points, 21 Energy/second)
    • Swing magical hammer in a circle to create a massive whirlwind. Hold to increase radius.
    • 80-89 Wind Damage per second.
    • Comments:
      • You can maintain this power until you run out of Energy. Enemies that enter the effective radius are swept up. Enemies caught in the power are helpless. Because of these factors, this is one of the best attack and crowd control powers, although you are unlikely to be swarmed often enough in the campaign to need it frequently.
      • Storm has a similar power accessible at a lower level.
  • Thor's Rage (18 Skill Points, 36 Energy)
    • Summons lightning down on victim. Can chain to more victims at higher levels with rapid tapping.
    • 120-133 Electricity Damage on one target.
    • 16 Electricity Damage per tap, x 5 targets.
  • Wrath of the Gods (Xtreme)
    • Bring down lightning from the sky, dealing Electricity damage to all nearby enemies. Also restores energy to the entire party.
    • 339-375 Electricity Damage.
    • 70% Energy restored.
    • Comments:
      • Other than the instant-kill Xtreme powers, this is one of the strongest Xtreme powers in terms of raw damage output. However, it does energy damage, so any Energy Resistant foes will take very little damage.
      • The energy restoration in this power makes it doubly dangerous since you can follow up with North Winds to clean up any (weakened) survivors.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Thing

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Thing

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Die Hard. One of two strong damage-reducing powers for the whole party (Nick Fury's Motion Detector, Thing's Die Hard). Theoretically you can have strong synergy here with both of them active, and further stack it on Thing (Tough Skin) and Wolverine (Taunt).
  • One of a few characters with 300+ damage powers (Uppercut).
  • Thing seems to be too heavy for enemies to grab and throw. Super Soldiers don't seem to try it.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Bullrush (11 Skill Points, 17 Energy)
    • Thing charges forward, destroying everything in his path and sending enemies flying out of the way.
    • 99-109 Physical Damage.
  • Die Hard (12 Skill Points, 116 Energy, 40 seconds)
    • Makes all party members resistant to melee Damage but more vulnerable to other types of attacks.
    • Party takes 55% less melee Damage, 11% more non-Melee damage.
  • Earthclobber (14 Skill Points, 36 Energy)
    • Using both fists, Thing smashes the ground, causing huge ripples in the earth knocking enemies off their feet. Double damage to enemies lying on the ground.
    • 51-56 Physical Damage, radius, Chargeable (x2 damage)
  • Hand Clap (16 Skill Points, 32 Energy)
    • With thunderous might, Thing claps his hands together and creates a concussive wave that blasts and stuns enemies in front of him.
    • 85-94 Physical Damage, cone, 5 second Stun.
    • Comments:
      • You may want to just have 1 skill level of this for the Energy-low usage and 2 second Stun. For crowd control, go with Earthclobber in the long run as that is radial. At high levels, both cost almost the same in Energy except Hand Clap is not radial.
  • Tough Skin (16 Skill Points, 116 Energy, 60 seconds)
    • Mutates skin into spiky rock plating, resistant to all damage, especially from melee attacks.
    • Take 59% less Melee Damage, 13% less non-Melee Damage.
    • Comment: Huge potential for stacking with Die Hard and Nick Fury's Motion Sensor.
  • Uppercut (16 Skill Points, 28 Energy)
    • 136-150 Physical Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
    • Comment:
      • There is only short forward movement. Depending on the angle you launch this, you can hit more than one target.
  • Rock and Roll (XTreme)
    • Slam into the ground, dealing massive Physical damage and a chance to slow targets.
    • 102-113 Physical Damage
    • 20% chance of Slow for 20 seconds.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Storm

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Storm

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Whirlwind. See notes on Thor's North Winds, which is a similar power.

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Blitz (9 Skill Points, 33 Energy).
    • Radial lightning attack. Does extra damage against slowed enemies.
    • 54-60 Electricity Damage.
    • Comment:
      • Iceman and Thing has various powers that can slow enemies.
      • Probably won't score extra damage against enemies slowed by time-slowing powers.
  • Chain Lightning (14 Skill Points, 16 Energy per second)
    • Lightning shoots from Storm's hands and chains from enemy to enemy.
    • 44-49 Electricity Damage per second on initial target.
    • 17-19 Electricity Damage per second on up to 6 additional targets.
    • Comment:
      • It does not appear that a single target can be hit by more than one chain.
      • Works like a rapid-tap attack power on all targets as they are continuously interrupted, which makes this one of the best rapid-tap ranged attack powers as it can simultaneously neutralize seven targets.
  • Conduction (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Team gets Electricity damage to melee attacks and +80% elemental resistance.
    • +17% Electricity Damage
  • Hail Storm (11 Skill Points, 33 Energy, 7 seconds)
    • Attaches a hail storm to an enemy that can damage nearby enemies for a time.
    • 54-60 Cold Damage per second on primary target.
    • 17-19 Cold Damage per second on targets near the primary target.
    • Comment:
      • Theoretically powerful if you are in tightly-packed melee and can set this up on different targets since they could then overlap their hail storms and damage could exceed 100 per second.
  • Lightning Strike (16 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • Casts lightning bolt down on enemy.
    • 139-154 Energy Damage.
    • Comment:
      • Bolt starts on top of target and strikes down. You can therefore use this power from behind cover.
  • Whirlwind (16 Skill Points, 17 Energy)
    • Creates a powerful wind vortex that lifts and throws objects and enemies about. Hold to increase radius and maintain power.
    • 58-64 Wind Damage per second.
    • Comment:
      • Similar to Thor's North Winds.
  • Whirlwind Armor (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Whirlwind that absorbs damage and damages enemies near her. Prematurely ends once it has absorbed its damage limit.
    • Absorb 80 damage.
    • 44-49 Wind Damage per second.
    • Comment:
      • If you can do without this power, you might want to skip it and take Whirlwind instead. You won't get the shielding effect, but Whirlwind renders melee enemies unable to attack you anyway.
      • On the other hand, like other damage aura powers, it will work while you are blocking, so you can potentially take down bosses by activating this power and blocking until the damage aura destroys them.
      • Bosses cannot be trapped and this power does no damage on bosses.
  • Thunder Struck (XTreme)
    • Radial lightning attack.
    • 68-75 Electricity Damage, x2 against slowed, stunned, and frozen enemies.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Spider-Woman

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Spider-Woman

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • One of very few characters who can heal the party (Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, Spider-Woman), and the only one who does not need to be unlocked. However, her power (Metabolic Aura) isn't available until level 14.
  • One of a few characters with a 300+ damage power (Venom Blast). Plus it's long-range, piercing (can shoot through several targets) and fires near-instantly.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Attract (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Uses a pheromone that will cause enemies near Spider-Woman to focus on her. Also gives her a 50% ongoing resistance to the last damage type that hit her.
    • Comment:
      • Possibly useful to get other team members out of trouble, or to have enemies constantly converge to be hit by Bio-Electric Surge.
  • Bio-Electric Surge (11 Skill Points, 33 Energy)
    • Releases a powerful radial blast causing energy damage and knockback.
    • 54-60 Energy damage, radius.
  • Ensnare (16 Skill Points, 28 Energy)
    • Throws out several incapacitating traps that for a time will deliver energy damage to the enemies caught in them.
    • 85-94 Energy Damage x 18 seconds (1530-1692), x5 traps
    • Comments:
      • Spreads traps on the ground -- not targeted, and there is no guarantee that a target right in front of you will be hit.
      • Does not work against large targets like the Super Soldiers in the Omega Base.
      • Target cannot attack or defend while they are stuck.
  • Metabolic Aura (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 50 seconds)
    • Surrounds Spider-Woman with a healing aura that will also heal allies that come into range.
    • Heals 2% Health per second.
  • Spider's Bite (8 Skill Points, 28 Energy)
    • Spawns several energy balls from both her feet and hands, causing energy damage.
    • 85-94 Energy damage per ball.
  • Spider's Blood (14 Skill Points, 26 Energy)
    • Throws a bouncing projectile that will cause energy damage and have a 50% chance to stun.
    • 82-90 Energy Damage, 50% chance of Stun (21 seconds).
  • Venom Blast (16 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • Shoots a bioelectric beam that will pierce multiple enemies if fully charged.
    • 139-154 Energy Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage and piercing)
  • Bio Web (Xtreme)
    • Weaves a bio-electric web that will break, causing heavy energy damage. Has a chance to turn enemies into allies for a time. Once the time expires, turned enemies are instantly killed.
    • 68-75 Energy damage.
    • 20% chance of turning enemy for 10 seconds.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Spider-Man

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Spider-Man

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Up to 70% chance to block all attacks with his Web Shield power; Spidey Sense, Web Throw.
  • One of a few characters (Daredevil, Ms. Marvel, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man) to have the time-slowing power.
  • Web Shield is pricey but maxes out at 70% -- i.e., 70% chance of being invulnerable -- and can theoretically be higher with the right gear.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Spidey Sense (12 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 16 seconds)
    • Time slows down for Spider-Man and his allies, allowing them to react to events much more quickly.
    • 50% Speed scale.
    • Comment:
      • Slows time, not targets. Therefore powers that have bonus effects against "slowed targets" do not benefit from this power.
  • Slingshot (11 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Spider-Man propels himself forward using webbing as a slingshot.
    • 41-45 Physical Daamge, Chargeable (x2 damage)
  • Web Bullets (16 Skill Points, 14 Energy per tap)
    • Shoots projectiles of impact webbing.
    • 44-49 Physical Damage per tap.
  • Web Snare (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Uses webs to freeze an enemy.
    • 68-75 Physical Damage x 16 seconds (1088-1200).
    • Comment:
      • Unlike Spider-Woman's ensnaure, this does not neutralize a target -- it can act normally, except it cannot move.
      • Cannot affect some very large targets like Super Soldiers, and does nothing against them. Cannot affect bosses because they cannot be incapacitated in the same way.
  • Web Throw (14 Skill Points, 18 Energy per second)
    • Grabs and enemy and swings them around, doing radial damage and knockback to enemies nearby until target is released.
    • 37-41 Physical Damage per hit, hits and pushes back all targets in a wide radius.
    • Comment:
      • Not very good against ranged attack minions since they will just stand off and not come closer to enter the radius again.
  • Web Warrior (9 Skill Points, 25 Energy)
    • Uses webs to fling an enemy into the air. Charge longer to increase the distance the enemy will soar.
    • 153-169 Physical Damage.
    • Comment:
      • Can harm bosses but won't throw them.
  • Web Shield (16 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Creates a web shield that has a chance to block all attacks.
    • 70% Block Chance.
  • Bungee Bash (Xtreme)
    • Grab enemies and spins them into web sacks.
    • 85-94 Physical Damage, Frozen 10 seconds.
    • Comments:
      • Does nothing against bosses because bosses cannot be affected by incapacitating effects.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Silver Surfer

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Silver Surfer

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Heal, Power Surge.
  • One of a few characters (Daredevil, Ms. Marvel, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man) to have the time-slowing power.
  • One of a few characters with 300+ Damage regular powers. Molecular Mix-Up can do over 300 at its highest level of power without Charging it, but you cannot get it to level 10 until level 73.
  • One of a few characters (Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, Spider-Woman) who can heal party members with regular powers.
  • By the time you unlock him, you will have invested so much in other characters, so either enable him at the start or don't bother.

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Cosmic Beam (16 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • A powerful piercing beam.
    • 139-154 Energy Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
  • Heal (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy)
    • Heals all nearby allies.
    • Restore 67% of maximum Health.
  • Molecular Mix-Up (16 Skill Points, 47 Energy)
    • Re-arrange molecules in targeted enemy, causing internal damage.
    • 322-356 Damage
  • Power Surge (14 Skill Points, 31 Energy)
    • Radial blast of cosmic energy that stuns enemies. Stun duration not clear.
    • 51-56 Energy Damage, radius, stun
  • Silver Dash (16 Skill Points, 17 Energy)
    • Quick burst forward on surfboard.
    • 58-64 Physical Damage, 252 Knockback
  • Slow Time (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 22 seconds)
    • Slows down time except for Silver Surfer and his allies.
    • Comment:
      • Presumably this is the same as other time-slowing powers and changes the time scale to 50%.
      • Slows time, not targets. Therefore powers that have bonus effects against "slowed targets" do not benefit from this power.
  • Surfer's Rage (11 Skill Points, 29 Energy)
    • 82-90 Energy Damage
    • 12 Energy Damage per tap x 4 enemies.
  • Galactic Might (Xtreme)
    • Calls down a beam from the cosmos, building up and energizing nearby enemies. Deals extra damage if victim is slowed, frozen, or stunned. Also restores party Health and Energy.
    • 85-94 Energy Damage, +21 Energy Damage if target is slowed, frozen, or stunned.
    • Restore 25% Health and Energy.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Nick Fury

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Nick Fury

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Power: Motion Sensor is a very nice early-game bonus and has huge potential for synergy with Thing (Die Hard, Tough Skin) and Wolverine (Taunt). If you have the patience for solo play, you can use Cloaking Device and Sniper together.
  • Nick Fury is not normally available until you have finished the game at least once. You can also enable him with a cheat code.
  • Test his melee combinations early as the gunshot pop-up attack also causes him to slide back, putting him out of melee range whether you want that or not.
  • One of the few characters with Stealth (Black Panther, Invisible Woman, Nick Fury), which means you can turn it on and pull him out of trouble if you manually control him. Also, enemies cannot detect you if you don't attack them first. If you do, reactivating stealth should throw them off again.

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Cloaking Device (12 Skill Points, ? Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Go into stealth mode. All attacks have a greater chance of causing criticals.
    • +10% chance of critical hits.
  • Frag (14 Skill Points, 30 Energy)
    • Toss a grenade.
    • 51-56 Fire Damage, radius.
  • Furious (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Grab and slam a nearby victim into the ground.
    • 139-154 Physical Damage.
  • Motion Sensor (16 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Reveals all enemies on the Automap.
    • Party takes 39% less damage.
    • Comment:
      • Huge potential for stacking with the big damage reductions from Thing (Die Hard) and Wolverine (Taunt).
  • SMG (16 Skill Points, 15 Energy per second)
    • Pull out a submachinegun and fire as long as button is held down. Allows movement and strafing.
    • 58-64 Physical Damage per second.
    • Comment:
      • Being able to move while using a rapid tap power is unique to Nick Fury. Most other characters can only turn in place.
  • Sniper (11 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Use high-powered rifle to shoot a single enemy. Press and hold to aim, fires on release. 25% chance for instant knockout. If victim is stunned, chance increases to 50%.
    • 143-157 Physical Damage, knockdown.
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Strike (Xtreme)
    • Calls down an airstrike on all visible enemies.
    • 85-94 Fire Damage
    • +25% Damage on subsequent Xtreme attacks.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Ms. Marvel

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Ms. Marvel

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Luminous, stunning Xtreme power.
  • One of a few characters (Daredevil, Ms. Marvel, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man) to have the time-slowing power.
  • One of a few characters to have a 300+ damage area effect regular attack power (Iron Man, Ms. Marvel).
  • One of three characters to have the stun-everyone Xtreme power that has a bonus effect against stunned targets (Elektra, Invisible Woman, Ms. Marvel).
  • Be careful with melee as some of her melee attack chains cause her to move forward a lot and you can end up sliding out of range of the enemy.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Binary Boost (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Gives party Energy Damage to attacks and and Energy Damage Resistance.
    • +17% Energy Damage to attacks
    • 17% Energy Resistance.
  • Cosmic Awareness (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 16 seconds)
    • Slows time down for everyone except the party.
    • 50% Time Scale.
    • Comment:
      • Slows time, not targets. Therefore powers that have bonus effects against "slowed targets" do not benefit from this power.
  • Explosive Touch (14 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • Charges an enemy with explosive energy that will blow up after 3 seconds.
    • 41-45 Energy Damage + 139-154 Energy Damage in radius on detonation.
    • Comment:
      • If you can switch targets, you can set up various targets to explode one after the other in overlapping radii. But you might as well just use Luminous for almost 2x damage, and you can do so repeatedly because Luminous inflicts stun and knockdown when fully charged.
  • Luminous (16 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • A powerful force blast. Can be focussed for more damage or unfocussed for a wider cone of effect.
    • 71-74 Energy Damage unfocussed or 139-154 Energy Damage (focussed)
    • Chargeable (x2 damage, stun, knockdown)
  • Nega Blast (11 Skill Points, 33 Energy)
    • Fires a blast of energy into the ground, causing radial damage. Reduces attack speed of enemies.
    • 54-60 Energy Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
    • Target slowed 9 seconds.
  • Photon Burst (16 Skill Points, 28 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Spawns multiple energy balls that will orbit Ms. Marvel and attack enemies that come into range.
    • 85-94 Energy Damage x 4 balls
    • Comments:
      • The duration refers to the time the balls will wait until they can attack. Once each ball has attacked once, the power ends.
      • The balls orbit near Ms. Marvel but can strike further away. They can go through barriers like walls.
  • Prism (9 Skill Points, 25 Energy)
    • Shoots an energy beam that splits and hits up to 3 additional targets behind the initial target.
    • 143-157 Energy Damage.
    • Comments:
      • Except for the long range and fast beam animation (hits the target almost instantly), this power is inferior to a level 10 Luminous.
  • Warbird's Wrath (Xtreme)
    • Massive flash of light does Energy Damage and stuns all enemies on screen.
    • 51-56 Energy Damage, 20 seconds Stun.
    • Targets that were already stunned take a critical hit for 50% of current Health.

    • 54-60 Physical Damage, 257 Knockback, Chargeable (x2 damage, Knockdown)

    • +36% Melee Damage, 76% chance of Criticals.

    • Roll up in a ball and bounce around. Damage is based on contact speed. Can use a regular attack to Dash.
    • 24-26 (81-89 Dashing?) Physical Damage
    • Comments:
      • Mr. Fantastic can move very quickly in this mode, and for that same reason this power may be more costly in Energy than it appears because you might miss enemies very frequently.
  • Propeller Arms (16 Skill Points, 25 Energy per second)
    • Walk forward spinning arms, popping up targets.
    • 85-94 Physical Damage per second.
  • Rubberband Recoil (9 Skill Points, 25 Energy)
    • Jump into the air and come down on enemies to knock them back.

    • +15% Damage on subsequent Xtreme attacks.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Moon Knight

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Moon Knight

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Boomerang (11 Skill Points, 28 Energy)

    • 37-41 Energy Damage, press and hold.

    • 27-30 Energy Damage per dart, 4 Darts

    • 54-60 Physical Damage, area
  • Nunchuks (9 Skill Points, 15 Energy)
    • Rapidly swing nunchuks in a forward arc. Speeds up as more enemies are hit.
    • 99-109 Physical Damage, rapid tap. 12% Speed increase per hit.
    • Comment:
      • Energy cost can stack up in a hurry, but a constant 12% speed increase can result in an enemy being continually interrupted by your attack and therefore unable to strike back.
  • Staff Combat (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Enables staff melee combat for a time and increases melee damage.
    • +40% melee damage
  • Full Moon (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Enhances Moon Knight's senses, showing nearby enemies on the map and increasing chance to dodge.
    • 32% Dodge chance.
  • Lunar Eclipse (Xtreme)
    • Throw Crescent Darts in a radius. Bounces off walls and lasts several seconds.
    • 34-38 Energy Damage.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Luke Cage

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Luke Cage

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Rebound + Drill Bit and/or Hammer Toss.
  • One of a few characters with a 300+ damage regular power.

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Jab (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • 139-154 Physical Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
  • Block Party (14 Skill Points, 36 Energy)
    • Luke pounds the ground with his fists, damaging enemies in an increasing radius.
    • 51-56 Physical Damage +8 Physical Damage per tap.
  • Chain Strike (16 Skill Points, 32 Energy)
    • Quick forward chain swipe that can hit several enemies.
    • 82-90 Physical Damage, popup.
  • Drill Bit (9 Skill Points, 29 Energy)
    • Leap into the air and drill into the ground.
    • 143-157 Physical Damage, radius, knockback
    • Comments:
      • This power is a bit tricky to use as Luke Cage doesn't usually land where he started, but moves forward a variable distance. It also executes quite quickly for a radial power and the energy cost is quite low.
  • Hammer Toss (11 Skill Points, 23 Energy per second)
    • Grab nearby target and swing them around to strike enemies around Luke. Throws enemy on release.
    • 37-41 Physical Damage per hit.
    • Comments:
      • If you can, skip this and go for Drill Bit instead.
  • Rebound (16 Skill Points, 116 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Causes all nearby enemies to attack Luke. Reduces damage taken and reflects all projectiles back at attackers.
    • -26% Damage Taken.
    • Comment:
      • Theoretically good withe the projectile reflection, but it generally just causes enemies to switch to melee. It does appear to work against bosses, though, if only just to switch them to melee.
      • Theoretically good with radius attacks like Drill Bit and Hammer Toss since it would cause melee attackers to keep converging on Luke.
  • Street Smarts (12 Skill Points, ~100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • 175% Maximum Health, +38% Striking
  • Sweet Christmas (Xtreme)
    • Luke Cage leaps into the air and slams into the ground.
    • 85-94 Physical Damage
    • +300% Shield Credits from enemies

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Invisible Woman

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Invisible Woman

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • One of very few characters who have Stealth (Black Panther, Invisible Woman, Nick Fury).
  • One of three characters to have the stun-everyone Xtreme power that has a bonus effect against stunned targets (Elektra, Invisible Woman, Ms. Marvel).

Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Concussion Blast (15 Skill Points, 24 Energy)
    • A powerful force blast. Use forward movement control to cause more damage in a narrower cone, back movement to cause less damage in a wider cone.
    • Focussed (narrow) - 61-68 Physical Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage, stun, knockdown)
    • Unfocussed (wide) - 20-23 Physical Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage, stun, knockdown)
    • Comments:
      • The stun from a fully charged Concussion Blast seems less reliable than the same from Ms. Marvel's Luminous.
      • Since the Invisibility power hides Invisible Woman from enemies she hasn't attacked yet, this power can draw too much attention to her too soon unless you can maintain it and keep the enemies stunned.
  • Fantastic Shield (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Creates a large shield that will deflect projectile attacks. Party members must be close to Invisible Woman and inside the bubble to be protected.
    • Comments:
      • Unlike Luke Cage's Rebound, enemies do not automatically switch to melee attacks against her.
      • Flamethrower type attacks like Dragonman's fire breath do not count as ranged weapons and are not affected by this power.
  • Invisibility (16 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Become invisible to enemies.
    • 9% chance of a Critical Hit while invisible.
    • Enemies stunned 32 seconds on a Critical Hit.
    • Comment:
      • At all levels, this power has a very long stun duration if she can score a Critical Hit, but for your Skill Point investment the bonus to scoring a Critical Hit is quite small. You may want to consider leaving it at a low level (and having to renew it more frequently) and instead use Gear that gives her a bonus to scoring a Critical Hit.
  • Kinetic Bolts (14 Skill Points, 14 Energy per tap)
    • 33-49 Physical Damage per tap.
  • Kinetic Snare (11 Skill Points, 20 Energy)
    • Traps target in a kinetic sphere.
    • 10-12 Physical Damage + 37-41 Crush Damage x 7 seconds (total 269-299)
    • Comments:
      • Damage is divided into 3 instances of damage during each second.
      • Target is neutralized for the duration (cannot move or attack).
      • Bosses take one instance of damage but cannot be trapped by this attack.
  • Kinetic Surge (11 Skill Points, 20 Energy per second)
    • Releases powerful waves of kinetic energy.
    • 37-41 Physical Damage per second, radius.
  • Telekinesis (16 Skill Points, 51 Energy)
    • Levitates enemies and objects.
    • 99-109 Physical Damage + 27-30 Physical Damage when thrown
    • Can levitate Heavy Objects.
  • Ultimate Overload (Xtreme)
    • Creates a large arc of energy that will damage all enemies on the screen and stun them. If the enemy is already stunned, then the arc will critically hit for 50% of their health.
    • 51-56 Physical Damage, 20 seconds Stun.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Iron Man

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Iron Man

  • Key Powers: Energy Reroute.
  • One of very few characters to have a 300+ damage long range area effect attack power.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Energy Reroute (12 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Greatly decrease energy spending for the entire party.
    • Powers used by party members cost 40% less energy.
  • Nano Assault (14 Skill Points, 30 Energy, free taps)
    • Radial energy shockwave with smaller secondary shockwaves.
    • 54-60 Damage, +8 damage per tap, radius.
  • Plasma Disc (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • A single projectile with an explosive radius.
    • 139-154 (Fire?) Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
    • Comment:
      • Radius is about 2 persons wide.
      • You can shoot with no penalty in melee distances, so you may want to invest in this but not Rocket Uppercut.
      • The long range and radius make this one of the strongest attack powers.
  • Rocket Uppercut (16 Skill Points, 23 Energy)
    • Massive melee punch that sends enemies flying.
    • 143-157 Damage, Chargeable (x2 damage)
  • Speed Overdrive (16 Skill Points, 92 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Gives Iron Man's suite a burst of energy, temporarily increasing attack and speed.
    • +30% Attack speed, +10% Melee Damage.
  • Uni-Beam (11 Skill Points, 14 Energy per tap)
    • Rapidly fire off a stream of lasers which repeatedly bounce off walls at higher levels.
    • 48-53 Damage, 2 bounces
  • Air Strike (Xtreme)
    • Launch a flurry of missiles.
    • 85-94 Energy Damage.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Iceman

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (for PC) - Playable Characters - Iceman

This is one of our Marvel Ultimate Alliance walkthrough / cheats / mods posts. For an index of all Marvel Ultimate Alliance posts, click here.

A list of all character notes: Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, Colossus, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Elektra, Ghost Rider, The Human Torch, Iceman, Iron Man, Invisible Woman, Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Storm, Thing, Thor, Wolverine
  • Key Powers: Slowing effects from various powers work well with some strong powers (especially Doctor Strange's Mystic Mayhem) that do extra damage or effects against impaired targets.
  • One of very few characters who have a damaging aura (Human Torch, Iceman, Storm) that will damage nearby enemies even if the character is blocking.
  • The only character who can put out small fires, such as the ones on the Helicarrier at the Fin Fang Foom encounter.
  • Many powers can set up Doctor Strange's Mystic Mayhem.
Powers: (at Skill Level 10)
  • Blizzard (9 Skill Points, 28 Energy, free rapid tap)
    • Create an ice storm.
    • Cold Damage, radius: 82-90, +28-32 per tap
  • Freeze Beam (16 Skill Points, 25 Energy)
    • Sends out a beam that freezes enemies. If a frozen enemy receives a critical hit, it shatters.
    • 68-75 Cold Damage and 6.2 seconds Frozen.
  • Frigid Aura (12 Skill Points, 100 Energy, 80 seconds)
    • Create a shield of cold around Iceman.
    • 17-19 Cold Damage per second, and slow to 62% speed
    • Comment:
      • Turning this on seems to turn off Frost Bite.
      • This seems to automatically kill any Demonic Leaper that jumps onto Iceman or that is on Iceman when he activates this power.
  • Frost Bite (12 Skill Points, 68 Energy)
    • Gives entire party ice gloves for a time, adding Cold Damage to melee attacks.
    • +15% Cold Damage, 10% chance of 4.4 seconds of Slow to 50% speed
      • Comment: Turning this on seems to turn off Frigid Aura.
  • Ice Shards (16 Skill Points, 14 energy per tap)
    • Throws shards of ice at enemies.
    • 44-49 Cold Damage per tap, with 37% chance of 5.6 seconds of Slow to 50% speed.
  • Ice Slide (11 Skill Points, 17 Energy per second)
    • Slides on an ice sled that can knock back enemies.
    • 58-64 Cold Damage and knock back.
  • Polar Explosion (14 Skill Points, 26 Energy)
    • Charge a particle and throw it at enemies. Chargeable.
    • 82-90 Cold Damage, 6 foot radius, 4.8 seconds of -61% speed.
    • Charged: 164-180 Cold Damage, 10 foot radius, 6.8 seconds of -61% speed.
  • Deep Freeze (Xtreme)
    • Massive cold blast, slows all enemies.
    • 51-56 Cold Damage, 50% chance of Freezing, otherwise Slowed to 25% speed for 5 seconds.
